About e-sources

e-sources is a compendium of sources of AS/400 and S/3X information accessible electronically through a PC modem or on the Internet. Its intent is to identify sources of interest to AS/400-S/3x shops where they can:
  • ...ask questions about programming, operations, products, bugs, and versions/releases.
  • ...download shareware, demoware, drivers, fixes, and FAQs.
  • ...find or post job openings.
  • ...find other AS/400's on the Internet.
  • ...get electronic support for vendors' products.
  • ...shoot the bits with all the other overworked, underpaid professionals.

Each e-source has been put to use at least once before it is included. Where possible, the e-source's own description of itself is quoted directly. You can blame the editor for all text outside the "quotes" and inside the {brackets}.

e-sources is the cumulative material published in the namesake column in SMUG's monthly newsletter, edited by Ed Smith. SMUG is a local user's group in Southern California's San Fernando Valley. (See the description near the end of the text.)

e-sources is updated periodically and freely distributed. You can obtain the latest version of e-sources by modem at MediaLink BBS, or send email to info@1media.com with "Get esources" as the only text (without the quotes).
